Ever wondered how we evaluate the flavour, aroma, and quality of our coffee? Coffee cupping is the industry-standard method used by roasters, baristas, and coffee enthusiasts to assess coffee’s unique characteristics, from its fragrance and acidity to its body and balance.

Join us at Redemption Roasters, Islington High Street on Wednesday 29th January for the first in our 2025 series of coffee cupping events.

For our first event, we've teamed up with Caravela Coffee, a speciality green coffee exporter and importer, connecting passionate producers with quality-focused roasters. With a deep commitment to sustainability, transparency, and farmer empowerment, Caravela ensures every bean tells a story of excellence and care. From origin to cup, their expertly crafted coffees deliver unmatched flavour while making a positive impact on coffee-growing communities worldwide.

What to expect

We will brew the coffee using only hot water—no equipment, just freshly ground coffee and carefully measured water to highlight each coffee’s unique attributes. We will then taste each coffee, exploring different flavour notes, origins, and processing methods.

Whether you're a seasoned coffee drinker or new to specialty coffee, cupping is a great way to develop your palate, explore different flavour profiles, and understand what makes each of our coffees special.
